Simone Thomas
Simone used to dream of becoming a jockey before her more obvious attributes made that a non-starter. But she’s owned horses herself and is particularly well-known in the racing community around Lambourn.
As such, she has many contacts within the top stables and can give you the inside track on all the day’s best bets. Plus almost all of the jockeys look up to her !
In addition to her successful modelling career, Simone has worked within the gaming industry for over 5 years, and has been a regular on the poker circuit. She’s also “The Footballer’s Agony Aunt” for Sport.co.uk online magazine.
The Couch
Mark “The Couch” Winstanley is, quite simply, the most outspoken racing pundit there is. Mark lives and breathes betting and makes his living as a professional punter. He also writes a weekly column for the Racing Post and has appeared on Channel 4 Racing, At The Races and Racing UK, albeit they all hold their breath wondering exactly what The Couch will say next. Latterly, he’s been a regular on The Betting Channel.
The Couch has contacts in all the top yards and when he puts a selection up, you know, unlike many supposed experts, he’s put his money where his somewhat large mouth is !
Holly McGuire
Holly started out her career as lingerie and swim-wear model boasting ad campaigns within her first year for the likes of Pretty Polly. She then appeared in Page 3 of The Sun and The Star newspaper.
Holly also had regular photo shoots for lads’ magazines such as FHM, GQ, Maxim, Loaded and many more. Holly was in a girlband called ‘Tantalize’, who released their single ‘Body Rocking’ which reached number 3 on the MTV box Dance Charts.
Some tabloids suggested that Holly has been romantically linked to Rio Ferdinand but this has not been confirmed. What has been confirmed is that Holly starred as Keeley in Footballers’ Wives, and has maintained close links with the football fraternity. Her phone-book is a “who’s who” of the Premiership !
Perry Groves
Perry Groves became a cult player among Arsenal fans, who commemorate him with the chant "We all live in a Perry Groves World". He still has a large following, with a fanclub and website devoted to him.
In October 2006 Perry Groves published his autobiography, which easily outsold that of Ashley Cole, as well as the autobiographies of other much more high-profile players including Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand. Perry is a regular on Talksport and Radio5, where he works closely with Colin Murray, and also pops up on Sky Sports and BBC Sport. Love him or hate him, it’s almost impossible not to have an opinion about Perry !
